How to find out the exact searches a keyword gets.?

I know about google keyword tool but I'm not sure if it is giving me all the searches for that keyword only or is it for all searches with that keyword in it. For example, if I search laptops and it gets 2million searches however underneath it would say notebook laptops and that would have 1million searches and I'm wondering if the 1mil that searched notebook laptop are included in the total searches or laptop too.|||In your example - Yes, the 1M searches for "notebook laptop" are PROBABLY included in the 2M searches on "laptop".

To learn more about this and how to use Google's keyword tools, you need to understand:

"Exact Match"

"Phrase Match"

"Broad Match"

Those are the 3 types of keyword matching that Google supports. By specifying one of those 3, you should be able to get the best answer to your question.

You'll find Google's explanation of match types at the link below.

Hope this helps鈥?br>
