Is there a such thing as a keyword generator?

I have been thinking about starting a blog. The only thing that keeps me from doing it is not knowing what i should put in the keyword box.

Is there a tool I can use to put the document i type up into and have it create a list of keywords?|||Yes, there are many in the market and keyword analysis is a very powerful way to maximize your earnings by optimizing your website for best , high earning keywords.

What do you mean by "Chinese Keyword Research Tools?"

Do you mean online translators or online IMEs (if your computer doesn't allow you to type in Chinese, you can use online IMEs to generate Chinese words by typing pinyin into the input box)?

Has anyone tried IMeye keyword software ?

I have tried other tools like keywordspy, market samurai but they are never accurate.I have heard that

IMeye is the best keyword discovery tool.Any opinions|||IMeye uses a proprietary method of gathering the BEST keywords out there, doing all the analysis and research on them (before you even start searching!!(?)) ...and then stores them in a HUGE database ready for your use.

Keywordspy and others really work the same as any other keyword tool鈥?in other words they don't do the analysis for you in the same way and you still need some kind of "seed" whether it's a domain or a keyword or something like that you can't just have it find keyword opportunities without pointing it in a direction.

The amazing thing about IMeye is that you don't need seed keywords or wade through 80-90% of the keywords that are garbage. You don鈥檛 need to see keywords that are too competitive to make quick progress with SEO.|||I had the privilege to one of the beta testers for this new keyword research tool read my review - http://www.nuwavpublishing.com鈥?/a>

How do you use Google Keywords Tools to find free website traffic?

With the recent changes to the Google Ad Words keyword tool, what is the best method to use the tool to find the proper keywords that will provide quality website traffic?|||What you want to do is first sign into Google Keyword Tool type in a phrase you want to find keywords for like "free website traffic" for example. Go to where it says Advanced Options and select all countries and all languages. In the spot where it says Filter Keywords select global monthly searches, then hit search.

Once you find a keyword you like open up google and type in that keyword, then use quotation marks "keyword" for example. This will give you the actual number of sites that use that exact keyword or phrase. If the number is low enough then use that keyword.

Another thing to check is the number of sites on the far right where the paid listings are, fewer listings will indicate lower competition for that keyword meaning that it'll be easier for you to rank higher for that keyword.|||Hi Clint,

You may want to have a set of keywords in mind ready before you use Google External Keyword Tool. Here's the link (https://adwords.google.com/select/Keywor鈥?/a>

You could type in a few keywords at a time and do a search comparison to see the global and local searches for those keywords. That would give you an idea on how popular those keywords are.

For example if the keyword has a tonne of searches for it, you may want to look for something that is not that highly searched for as it would be too difficult to rank for those keywords. Try looking for something that has consistent searches as well as certain keywords could only be seasonal.

Hope this helps.

In a website it says that Internet Keyword is a good marketing tool. Why is that?

Keywords are easy to remember, easy to type, and easy to understand. That's why for brand owners who want to be "found" online, use keywords in the SEO technology. Considering this, it would be great if brand owners could have a keyword-type Internet name! No www, no dots, no hierarchy in the naming system. Netpia offers Native Language Internet Name, it is the next generation Internet address that veers away from long, confusing names. All the users have to do is to type a keyword in any language at the address bar to get to a web destination. It's pretty cool and you should check it out! |||Being new to SEO, I've gotten a bit confused by conflicting stories on the importance of keywords.

Originally, keywords (meta-data in the HTML file's header which is not shown by the browser) were intended to provide a way for search engines to determine the relevance of a page to a particular search. Over time, though, search engines have gotten much more sophisticated. They now seem to be looking more at the user-viewable content than at undisplayed keywords in the header. (Abuse of keywords, particularly the use of keywords unrelated to the site's content, was probably the driving force behind this.)

I'd suggest looking at a few webmaster forums to get a feel for the current thinking with regard to keywords and their importance.

Understanding & applying keyword outputs from Google Adwords tool?

Hello,

I entered the URL of a web page from some one else鈥檚 website into the Google Adwords tool. However, I do not understand the output.

Firstly, from where do the grouped keywords originate? In some cases, the keywords did not even appear exactly that way on the page. (Example 鈥榞ateS (7)鈥?appears but the source page鈥檚 only has 鈥榞ate鈥?within the title, keyword and body tags). Is 'gates' more popular for searchers than gate???

More importantly, how do I use the groups? For example, do I apply all those keywords with good results for other columns (advertiser compeitiion, local search volume %26amp; global monthly search volume) if I wanted my site to appear in the numbers 1 to 3 spots? Within which tags (title, meta keyword, meta description or body tags should I place these keywords?

Thanks!|||Universal Citizen,

=== "Where do the grouped keywords originate from?" ===

They come from the bank of keyword combinations searched for by people on Google. They are mapped with advertising intelligence coming from Google AdWords.

=== "How do I use the keyword groups?" ===

First part is keyword combinations that Google relates directly to the content (page or keyword list) submitted. So a reported keyword may not appear on the list or page to the extent that Google sees a direct relationship between the two (e.g., singular/plural, synonyms, acronyms).

Second part is a list of keywords Google suggested thatn widen a little bit (sometines too much) the scope of related topics.

=== "Within which tags should I place these keywords?" ===

The one you mentioned, plus, among others:

- URL (i.e., file name, directory, domain, subdomain)

- title

- meta description (for search result snippet)

- meta keywords (less important nowadays, useless for Google)

- headings (h1, h2, etc.)

- bold/italic

- alt of images

- title of anchors

- text of anchors

- all over the body (of course)

Note: using the submission of URL to generate KWs is valuable to see how Google understand your page, i.e., would qualify your page for a good rank within search results. To get ideas on KW's to write about, better iterate thru the tool by submitting KW you deem interesting to write about.

I know is an average so means most ppl will pay less than 5.18 to bring the average down to .67?|||There are a lot of factors, I think. Sometimes there will be people competing for positions 1 and 2, and there will be a big price jump getting from avg. position 3 to avg. position 1. Also, your quality score is a very large factor in cost--it measures how relevant your landing page seems to be to the search. Your quality score might be much better than some of your competitors for that space. Also, the data on the keyword search tool seems to be a bit older, and averaged over a longer period. And I'm really not sure about this one, but maybe you are bidding on a general inclusion, and getting your low cost high rank placements off of longer searches, like "how to fix bose speakers underwater", while the keyword search tool was referring to an exact match of "bose speakers"?

SEO is critical for the success of your web site. Without it, you will get no traffic. No traffic = no customers = no money.

If you own a Web site, the Web site building software should have included SEO. Otherwise, using the software is a waste of time. SEO includes Internet marketing and while articles posting, etc. is important, the most important thing is to select the right keywords that people use to find your Web site. You need to do keyword analysis to find the best keywords for your Web site.

Then, you need to sprinkle those keywords onto your Web pages so that the search engines will find them as their spiders crawl your Web site as well as putting them in your Title, Keywords, headings and description.

Why? Think about how the major search engines work. They key on what word or phrases the users enter. How do you find keywords that users want? Use Google itself at this URL:

https://adwords.google.com/select/Keywor鈥?/a>

Just enter your keyword and it will tell you what the demand is for that keyword and how much it would cost to advertise it on Google via Google AdWords.

Supply and demand is important for keywords. You want to find the keywords with a huge demand, but very little supply.

Another good keyword analyzer is Wordtracker.com. This will cost you money, but it's the best on the Web.

This is a very good book for building traffic: Search Engine Optimzation - An Hour A Day by Jennifer Grappone and Gradiva Couzin.

With this book you do not need any costly SEO services.

There are Web site builders that do most of this SEO for you. Most free web site builders do not include SEO. That's why most of them are a waste of time. Creating a Web site is easy, but it is only 10% of the job. The other 90% is SEO and it is critically important.

Do you know about Alexa rank? Alexa is an Amazon company that ranks Web sites. It takes the most active Web site which total about 65 million and compares your web site to all of them. Here is how to get to the Alexa Point Test:.http://traffic-test.sitesell.com/waltera鈥?/a>

If you have a rank under 500,000 you are doing good, it you are under 100,000 you are fantastic. Google is under 10.

The Web sites that score high on Alexa have lots of content. Content is king on the Internet. What is content? Its information, information that visitors find interesting and relevant to your keywords. The more pages you have on your Web site, the better. If you have only 5 or 6 pages, the search engines will ignore you. Once you get to about 30 pages, the search engines will begin to take notice. At that time you should begin to link to other Web sites. The search engines love links, but you must avoid link farms.

Trying to game the search engines is a thankless task. They have computer science PHds developing their search engine spiders. Do you think you can compete with them? Not likely.

Sneaky techniques are called "black hat" optimization. Won't work. The SEs are changing constantly. You cannot find out what they do or how they do it. When someone finds a crack, they seal it up.

Linking is important. SEs love links.

Work hard to create more useful sites. Get great software for building web sites. One that does SEO for you.

The best way to get more traffic is to have lots of pages, 100s of them, thousands are better, with relevant content (information). SEs love quality content.

If you have the right Site Build it software, the software submits to search engines automatically.

How did you build your Web site? I hope it wasn't one of those free web builder sites.

You see, there are lots of Web sites that will build a Web site for you. That's where they end. Building a Web site as you probably know is only solving 5% of the puzzle. The other 95% is search engine optimization and internet marketing. Most Web Site Build It software will only do the first 5%, then they nickel and dime you to death with add-ons that purport to do SEO and internet marketing. Unfortunately most of them are scams.

So what is one to do if there is no help from your Web site building software. Do you know about NVU? This is a free web site builder that emuilates Microsofts Front Page and did I mention that it's FREE. Go here to download: http://www.nvu.com/index.php

Get better software for Site Building. One that has some keyword analysis. Getting search engines to spider your Web site depends on your keyword selection.

Listen! The SEs find Web site by searching for keywords. If a Web site has the right keywords or phrases, the SEs will find it and send you to the front of the class.

But how do you know which keywords are the best. Ahhh! That's the question and I will give you a web site that does keyword analysis and it's free.

The Google AdWords Keyword Tool is an excellent preliminary brainstorming tool. Let's say that you have ten ideas for a theme or Site Concept. This tool gives you a superb "high level snapshot" of how profitable each of your Site Concept possibilities might be. Here's the URL: https://adwords.google.com/select/Keywor鈥?/a> - remember, it's free

What is the name of tool for keyword analyze on yahoo?

need more info, i do not understand your question

What is best tool for accurate keyword traffic numbers?

I have found a niche, but am getting conflicting data regarding the keywords. Google's Adwords tool says this keyword phrase gets 6,000+ visits per month. Wordtracker and some other such tools say there is NO traffic for this keyword. I have 6 of the 10 spots on Google page 1 for this keyword, and am getting no traffic - so I am inclined to think Google is wrong! What do you use for accurate traffic info for a keyword?|||First thing is to check your analysis.

Is the figure from the Google Adwords Keyword Tool for an Exact match? If it is for Broad then it will probably be very different, you might in fact find that the Exact is only 100 for example.

When you say you have 6 of the 10 spots, do you have positions 1, 2 and 3? If not you will be picking up a very small part of the total search number. You'll be lucky to pick up 25% of the search total with your 6 sites, if they're not in the top 3.

If 6,000 is the Broad match number and the Exact is say 1,000 then you'd be looking at maybe 250 site visits, which is less than 10 a day.

Google's figures are wild at times, accurate at others, ultimately you have to use some judgement on this. I still use it in preference to any other way.

Keyword Search Tool - Which Online Tool do you use to Search & Research SEO Keywords?

Wordtracker's free tool and Google's External tool are the most popular ones right now. But when it comes to SEO, you need good analytics. Specifically, you need to know the keywords through which people landed on your site.

For this, you can add site analytics like Statcounter or Google Analytics to your page code. Both are essential for extending the utility of your search tool.|||This is the most relevant keyword tool online: https://adwords.google.com/select/Keywor鈥?/a>

Which keyword would be easier to rank for?

Just curious.

Using google keyword tool, it says Keyword "A" is searched 20k a month and Keyword "B" is searched 300k a month (local monthly searches). However, under competition it says Keyword A's bar is 7/10th full and Keyword B has only 2/10th full.

Given that scenario which keyword would be easier to rank for?|||Shan,

ABOUT COMPETITION

The Competition column in Google keyword Tool gives you a sense of how many advertisers are bidding for a particular keyword. This data can help you determine how competitive the ad placement is.

If your question relates to advertising (Google AdWords), then either keyword is easy to rank for by merely paying the right bid price, be it higher for the keyword with the higher competition.

If your question relates to rank within organic results, then competition is not relevant because pages do not compete with advertisers directly.

A special note, though. Consider the fact that one may expect advertisers to chase keywords that are likely to give them the higher return on investment (ROI) and leave those that have a lower monetization potential.|||lol

My supposed "niche" 'new online income opportunity' had a 24-hr search result of 580 according to a very popular keyword research tool when I started optimizing it. For the past 4 months, it has been fluctuating between 450 to 650 which is fine.

Now, for the past 1 week or so, I find that there are "zero" searches being shown in the 24-hr count. On the contrary, my own website is recording more than 100 hits per day through Google organic search itself.

Likewise another of my keyword 'where is dubai' that is drawing a traffic of average 150 visits per day through Google organic search has a total search of 20 per day according to this super tool.

Any comments?

I thought I was pretty good in using such tools, but now I wonder if I know to use them at all. For how can such well reckoned and vastly used research tools be wrong?

Regards,

Joseph Ponnou

http://www.internetmarketingtoolsntips.c鈥?/a>|||I am not aware of any keyword research tools that are "very accurate," and at best they tend to be "somewhat helpful."

There are several issues here. First, no tool is more reliable than the data it is "fed," and neither Google nor Yahoo provide their search data to third parties. WordTracker uses data from a pool of smaller search engine sites, and often shows high traffic levels for very bizarre search phrases. (In my experience, WordTracker's data includes "fake traffic" including traffic from other keyword-research bots.)

In addition, even your own data is not complete: you may find that your bidding draws 150 impressions per day for searches for "where dubai" but in fact, your ad might not be shown for 1,000 other searches done each day. (Your data may also be "over-inclusive," as you may be including searches through the Search Network, which aren't done at Google, or traffic on the Content Network).

Second, search patterns change over time; the number of searches for "Santa Claus' address" rises in December and probably zeroes out from January to October. In addition to predictable seasons like that, there are random fluctuations as well as "surges" (when Jay Leno mentions widgets, there may be a bunch of web searches in the next 24 hours).

There are also "cycles" for certain search terms. For example, searches for "porn" peak on weekends (Friday and Saturday night), while searches for "football scores" peak on Sunday and Monday. For some search terms, it's possible that 80% to 90% of the total searches occur on a single day each week ("lotto numbers"), or even a single day each month or each quarter ("Fed interest rate change").

Another crucial factor to consider is the activity of "fraud operators," who use keyword research tools to identify high-bid keywords; when bid amounts rise, those terms attract more fraudulent activity (because fraudsters can make more money from each click than for low-bid terms), increasing volume.

The bottom line is that you should absolutely NEVER rely on any tools to be reliable -- not even within an "order of magnitude" -- in predicting search volumes for specific keywords or even "keyword families."

Without this Yahoo thinks I'm being an smart buyer buy spending my advertising money with them vs Google who DOES tell me this information - free. The page is found here: inventory.overture.com|||One reason was that the "Overture" tool was being used by unethical crooks who deliberately identified high-traffic, high-bid keywords for use in fraudulent traffic schemes. I don't know if that was a major element in the decision, but the availability of the keyword-traffic tool was certainly a great help to fraudsters, and replacement of the tool has harmed the fraudsters without placing a significant burden on legitimate advertisers.|||They replaced it with this:

How to find out the exact searches a keyword gets.?

For example, if I search laptops and it gets 2million searches however underneath it would say notebook laptops and that would have 1million searches and I'm wondering if the 1mil that searched notebook laptop are included in the total searches or laptop too.|||In your example - Yes, the 1M searches for "notebook laptop" are PROBABLY included in the 2M searches on "laptop".

To learn more about this and how to use Google's keyword tools, you need to understand:

"Exact Match"

"Phrase Match"

"Broad Match"

Those are the 3 types of keyword matching that Google supports. By specifying one of those 3, you should be able to get the best answer to your question.

Best Keyword Search Tool?

I'm confused how to do keyword research for my website. I'm interested in SEO and PPC, but I hear a lot of contradicting methods and there are so many software. What is the best keyword research method and keyword search tool?|||A Male Human,

Lol, good name. You're right, keyword research is utterly confusing and most people don't know what they are talking about.

That's because they haven't bothered understand WHY they are doing keyword research. Once you understand the why, you will devise the how.

So, why do keyword research? What goals are you trying to accomplish?

Obviously "good" keywords are ones that will bring you the most traffic to your website, and subsequently, the most sales/profits.

However, high traffic is not enough. That's just 1/4th of the equation. That's because unqualified or untargeted traffic is worthless traffic. Someone searching for "Superman toys" doesn't want to read a page about "Interior Design 101." So your traffic must be interested in what you're offering.

Furthermore, certain keywords have more inherent likelihood someone will buy. "Buy Canon SD1000" will produce more sales than "funny jokes." The term "buy" in that former keyword denotes that the searcher is ready to buy, so you want to jump on that opportunity.

But some keywords are less obvious. Which keyword has more commercial intent - real estate investing or property investing? Sound pretty similar, but one is worth 3x more money. There is a keyword search tool that calculates a metric that I think is genius in determining commercial intent. It's called Market Samurai.

Also, you want a keyword you can realistically rank well for. So if your competition is 1000x stronger than you with a million backlinks and a PageRank of 7, you realistically will never rank well for that keyword, so don't waste your breath. Go after keywords you can win.

4 Things to Accomplish in Keyword Research:

-High Relevancy

-High Traffic

-High Commercial Intent

-Low SEO/PPC Competition

So that's why you do keyword research, to figure how how plausible it is for you to accomplish those four things.

As far as the how, check out this in-depth post:

Market Samurai is a great keyword search tool to accomplish all of that, so check this review out:

And in the short description when you first open the page, "It also suggest some additional words" should say "suggests" with an s.

Also, I did a search for one phrase and got the results. Then I did another search for a different phrase, but the results didn't change - they were the results of the first phrase. (That only happened when I hit ENTER to start the search, when I actually clicked the Perform Search button, it worked fine).

One more thing, I didn't really look at the website you have this on, but unless it's a specialized site where it would be obvious what this tool is for, I would give a more detailed description of how it can be useful and what people might use it for.

Hope this helps!

English search engine optimization (seo)

I was using the google keyword tool and noticed that there was a huge spike in traffic for a particular 'exact search match' term. Mostly if not always depends on what's in the news. Tiger Woods, new products, cars, etc.|||The usage of keywords can be affected by seasonal variations in the business sector or by news stories. Google Trends provide a service where you can check the usage and popularity of search terms or keywords used, this includes the ability to compare keyword popularity and any regional variations by selecting country in the top right, the default selection is All countries.

http://www.google.com/trends

With regard to web design and SEO, it is very important to include 'keywords' into the website and with regard to website links, keywords are important for inclusion in the anchor text.

So if you build a website about 'your products', you should ensure that the web pages are optimised for the content displayed and information offered. This includes using an appropriate selection of 'key words' (keywords) relevant to 'your products'.

Some of the basic steps and considerations for keywords and web design / SEO would be the following:

1) Using relevant keywords within the website / page content, the content of the website pages is the top priority for SEO, your website pages should provide good information about the product / service or subject.

2) The website name, or domain name, it can help people or search engines find your information if your domain name includes the product / subject / keywords

3) The page names, you may have lots of information about that requires separate pages, using keywords for the page / file name is good practice:

4) Meta tags, these are parts of the html code that are used by Search engines to help identify the content of the webpage. The html code of the page is not visible to the user unless you select view page source within the browser. You can to add important information about the webpage and products on the webpage to the meta tags, this is where you can add keywords about the products on the webpage. Important html tags include:

%26lt;title%26gt;This page is about keywords%26lt;/title%26gt;

%26lt;meta name="description" content="This is where you have a short sentence that describes the content of the web page and includes keywords" /%26gt;

%26lt;meta name="keywords" content="add keywords here separated by commas,keyword1,keyword2,keyword3" /%26gt;

5) Images, you can use relevant keywords for image file names on your webpage. You can also add 'alternate text' to the image within the html code, this is designed to help users that may have impaired vision and use computer software called 'screen readers' which is an audio tool that provides audio description of what is on the screen.

alt text html tag: alt="This text describes the content / picture for the image and will be read by screen reader and search engines so its good to include keywords relevant to the image"

What's the fastest way to use Google Keyword Tool?

I have an Excel spreadsheet with 8,000 keywords that I need to find the 'Global Monthly Searches' data for. I need to do a search for each of these keywords using Google Keyword Tool, then copy and paste the data that I find (the numbers that come up under Global Monthly Searches) back into the Excel spreadsheet.

I must be doing something wrong because apparently I should be able to accomplish this in about 6 hours or so but it seems to be taking a lot longer.

I am pasting about 10 keywords into the search box at a time then copying and pasting each match, one by one, back into my Excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to expedite this process?

I hope someone has a great tip so I can get this done!

Thanks!|||The way you are explaining seems logical and faster then search through all of that data, i do not believe there is any other way of doing this unless somehow you either created a program or downloaded one to easily do this.

Note: If you are copying something the same from the same row maybe copying the whole row could help, but if you are using cells on different columns or row, hit the control key and click the cells you want. This will copy multiple and you can paste them, although i do not know what order they will be displayed it

P.S. im not sure if i helped you lol, i might of helped you excel knowledge lol

Help with Google Keyword Tool?

For the first time, I'm designing a website that's going global. I just can't figure out the difference between "Global" and "Local" on the Google Keyword Tool.

1) Is "Global a number that represents world wide? 2) Is "Local" just for USA?

I've gotten a few results where the Local is larger than the Global so it sent me spinning.

Also, 3) Does "Local" take in Canada, UK and Austrailia as English countries or is "Local" just for the USA?

ANY ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE WILL HELP ALLOT!! Pennie77|||As Paul said, Local is specific to your IP address at the time of using Google's Keyword tool. What you should really be concerned with are exact matches (with quotes around the keyword) and broad matches. Unless you are turned away visitors that aren't in your local area, you'll be targeting everyone.

I've found Google's Keyword Tool to not be that informative. I've been using Market Samurai (http://bit.ly/dq3MpK) for about a year and found it to be extremely beneficial for keyword research and niche targeting. It gives you so much more information about the keywords and you'll be surprised at how much easier it is to use than the Google Keyword Tool.|||Local is where you are and Global is everywhere else. The reason you may get more local searches is because your keyword may only be relevant to where you are, so if you were in the UK and you did a search for " London Pubs" you would surely get more Local results than Global. You should have a look at a piece of software called Market Samurai. This is a more in depth piece of keyword research software. There is a free demo but the keyword research is always free. The instructional videos that you get with it are a brilliant and will go a long way to explaining how keyword research is done. Good luck

A question about Google Adwords Keyword Tool.?

I am new to blogging and am planning to start a new blog. For this purpose I have found a niche and when I went to Google Adwords Keyword Tool to check a few related keywords, I found that the Advertiser Competition bar was full meaning it was very high for my keyword. The Global Monthly Search Volume for the same was 40,500. However, when I Google putting my keyword in quotes like "keyword" , I find 19000 odd results.

My query is whether it'll be easy to build a blog in this niche which would be on top of Google search for the related keyword?

I am completely new to SEO and am so asking such a query.

Thank you all|||You must be very clear in your topic selection for blogs. You have 200 blogs to work with. Then go to Google Adwords Keywords tool then type your keywords pick medium paying keywords not high, not low but in between that. Then frame sentence matching that keywords that's all you have done. Input that keywords and phrases on your content. Publish your website. Your website will be in top 10 of the Google Search for more information

How Can I Understand The Google Keyword Tool Competitors Bar?

Am usuing the Google Keyword Tool to find new profitable niches. However, I have a question: how do I determine exactly how many websites exist with the exact keyword title I am searching for. I go by the coloured bar to assess competion, but what I am puzzled about is when I type in someting like "The Beatles", the bar says it has NO competiton! How can this be so, when the net is SATURATED with Beatles sites? I have found this when tapping in other keyword (long tail tool) titles too.

So how can I determine exactly how many domains are competing for that title, if the competition bar in the Google Keyword Tool gives such questionable data?|||If you want to do a deep dive into keyword research you will need some professional keyword research tools. I think you have asked a good question here and you are on the right track. You are wise to research the competition for keywords before making your next move.|||Hi Alan

It's my understanding the bar to which you refer provides an indication only of that keyword's competitiveness in relation to Google's paid advertising space, AdWords. It's function is to give you an idea of your likely bid price/cost per click if you're planning to run a PPC (pay per click) advertising campaign. It has no relationship to the number of competitors vying for top spot among Google's free (organic) rankings.

The method I use to assess competition is to enter my keyword into Google in inverted commas, like so: "the beatles" which will return the number of "phrase-matched" competitors whose sites have been optimized either intentionally or accidentally for this keyword (the number will appear beneath the search bar - a figure greater than say 50,000 I probably wouldn't even consider. Too much time and effort required to get to number one. 10,000 - 15,000 however would probably pique my interest).

There are countless free and modestly priced tools available online to automate the keyword and competitor research task. There's a good and inexpensive one featured here on my website: http://searchfindseo.com/seo-rank-software . It's the one I use myself.

Hope this info assists.

Google adsence keyword tool. It gave me keywords when i had no main (index)page. How is this?

Because google are greedy and will look for any opportunity for people to click on their ads and make them some more money.

I don't think a blank page is going to stop them, they would just start putting any old ads on there.

2.鈥淟uxury villas for sale鈥?PPC Advertisers: 193

Why I do not get traffic from these keywords even am on first page of yahoo with them . What can be issue , does anybody knows

Sam|||It really depends on your competition. Someone could be trying to monopolize those keywords by allowing a huge budget to stay in front of the line.

That is, by the way, a huge CPC for such a small search volume. So the competition is obviously very ferocious.

I would like to suggest you revise your site's SEO as there are a few simple improvements that could make a big difference. I actually see quite a few points to improve.

I see you get good SERP (search result page) on Bing but not on Google.

If you need help with this, send me an email by clicking my avatar.|||You should be getting traffic from the terms, double check your Google Analytics account.

If you're #3 for that term of Luxury Villas for Rent, you should for sure be getting clicks.

According to google keywords there's 12,000 searches a month for that term.

Hi, Id like to ask regarding the "phrase" match type on Google Keyword Tool?

For example, local monthly results for a specific keyword shows 3,600 results, once phrase match type is clicked (Phrase match type is activated). The question is: Now, the 3,600 results represent the keyword phrase in the google search box, with quotation marks typed IN THE BOX ("..") or without these, meaning that the 3,600 results represent the keyword phrase just by counting the order of words solely..??|||When there are " " around the phrase this is the amount of searches performed with that phrase in them. When you see [ ] around the phrase this is the amount of the exact times the exact phrase is searched.

So if you see "where is the dog" 3,600 this means that these people could have searched for

oh my where is the dog i cant find him

I always use [ ] to get a more accurate count.

Does google keyword tool include all search terms?

It depends on how you set it up. Generally no but it does give you a pretty good list of them

Overture gives keyword traffic data for Yahoo. Does anyone know of a free tool for Google that does the same?

The facts are in from unbiased, 3rd party research groups and the majority of searches on the web are done via Google. I have had great success with search engine traffic due to free information from Overture's Keyword Search Tool. Of course there are many searches done on Google that are also done on Yahoo. For instance: If "widget" had 1,738 searches through Yahoo; Google on the other hand might have had 8,867 searches for "widget". In this case, "widget" goes from being of medium importance to maybe being the central focus of SEO for my site.

All internet entrepreneurs, like my self, that practice effective SEO, could really, seriously use a tool like Overture for Google. If anyone knows of a free tool like this PLEASE let me know.

Googles keyword Tool?

If a search phrase on Googles Keyword Tool is showing an estimated traffic of 368,000 searches a month, how reliable is that figure?

Obivously I know its not going to be exact, or anywhere near exact, but are the chances that that particular keyword has a lot of searches good?

What about the advertiser competition, how accurate is that estimate?|||The advertiser competition relates strictly to Google adwords and does not relate to organic results.

As far as the traffic figure is concerned it will not be entirely accurate for competition reasons. However if it shows up a lot of searchers it will be a popular keyword.

Remember to change your keyword matching options to exact in order to get a more realistic figure.|||There's no reason to believe that Google's information isn't accurate. If that's what the keyword tool says, it's probably pretty close to that number.

What's more important is the number of websites that contain that keyword. If you have 368,000 searches but it appears on 2 million websites, you are cutting your chances of having someone find your site down to nothing.

It's better to find a "long tail keyword phrase" that doesn't appear on a lot of websites but has a decent number of searches. I just wrote a blog post about this topic today that you might find helpful: http://www.eunicecoughlin.com/internet-m鈥?/a> .

What is of upmost importance is high quality organic searches that result in conversions and many keyword tools do not help in this area.

To me is good search keyword phrase or longtail keyword is one that converts.

I also find that to find out what keywords convert you often have to have a good PPC campaign.

Even if you do not do PPC adwords campaigns you can get a good idea of what words competitors are bidding on with the following tool and it is a free keyword tool ...

http://www.squidoo.com/ppcwebspy1

You will get a list of adwords that the top sites are biding on and usually if it is a high bidded keyword it is likely to be a converting one. What is even more amazing is I have found some real good converting keywords that would be considered niche phrases that convert well from an organic search.

As far as advertiser competition I always look at the key phrase or word without quotes and see what sites are in the adwords game on the first page to determine the strength of my competition. I am not worried about the number of them but the strength. If I am competing against amazon and ebay then I look elsewhere it it is joes hobbie websites on the first page ... then I have a winner.|||Hello, i have find this link and work fine for see density.

Google keyword tool on adwords?

Hi all,

I am using the google keyword tool in ad words and when I type in "nhs southampton" the column which shows the number of local searches has a figure of less than 10 and the total number of global searches has a figure of 5100 searches. When I click on the help buttons the pop up tells me that the local search are figures taken from your own country so I thought the local search column would be higher.

Could somebody point out what I am missing?

Thanks,

Eddie|||Well, the statistics are absolutely correct, Even I checked "nhs southampton" and got 5400 global searches and less than 10 local searches. Local here means the whole country.

So what it means is that only less than 10 searches are made PER MONTH from your country in Google ( estimated average) and same keyword is searched 5400 times worldwide.

May be it is not a very popular keyword, But if it specifies very close description of what you sell, then you must sign up with this keyword (and other related keywords as well )

You can also try misspelled keywords http://www.greyorgray.com/keyword-produc鈥?/a> here is a few detailed about some very good keyword tools.|||Local Search - is your own country

Global Search - is entire world search

Try to understand the above things.

Local search is very low according to you. That means the people from your country not trying this words too often. So my suggestion try different keywords or phrases related to this keyword or keywords.

For Example

Apple

1.Fruit

2.Computer

So, if you type "it is good for health" then it means you are pointing out for Apple

If you type any software or hardware related computer then it means your pointing out Apple Computers.

Try to understand these things then only you can succeed in Seo

For More information

http://websiteoptimicer.blogspot.com/|||First of all, the local searches are not necessarily your country. It depends what you select here: "Results are tailored to English, United States Edit"

After you've hit the 'Edit' button, you can select the targeted country. Google is very clear about Local Search Volume:

Quote:" It's specific to your targeted country and language as well as your selection from the Match Type drop-down menu."

Global searches are higher than local searches because it includes the local search as well.

For SEO purposes it is better to use 'Exact' searches. It just gives a much more accurate number. The number 5400 you have there is the result of a 'Broad' search. 'Exact' search volume for your keywords are about 260 globally.

It may be a good idea to get stats of different keyword search tools. At http://keywordsearchtool.net you will see a nice collection of (free) keyword services.

I have also use the overture research tool for my affiliate advertising, but the website below will have all that and much much more.

I'm a very happy affiliate.

Enjoy.|||The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is

to first set up a website and publish its domain name

on major search directories such as Google.com,

Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and

MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these

search directories to provide them with goods and

services. In a sense, these search directories are a

very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage

fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using

such "generic" queries will not be able to discover

your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,

in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,

when observed and committed in designing of a website

with placement of various critical metatags that can

surely achieve a high search engine presence and

increase Internet traffic to your website. These

metatag strategies work well with published webpages

at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based

website, make sure to fill-in the property entries

such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing

to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can

be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the

Internet audience and their incoming setup. For

example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages

take too long to load up and therefore analog users

will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the

Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL

lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So

before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple

question, "Who's my end user - is he on dialup or

DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users

for maximum marketability, then select analog users

since 80% of most resident users are still analog

Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages

is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,

is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit

the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a

graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots

are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google

and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which

should consist of no more than 65 characters separated

by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic

terms, the goods and services, followed by a location

from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.

The placement of a domain name which is not generic

within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your

domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is

usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which

best describes one's goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also

somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural

and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries

which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which

is defined as the loading, and submission of

repetitive words into a particular metatag category.

"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported

to Google's spamreport.com can result in the

elimination of your website from their search

directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on

Google.com: Begin with the very "generic" search query

"sandwiches downtown los angeles," taking note to not

abbreviate Los Angeles to "LA" and of course, leave

out the parentheses ("). It will bring up some 2.4

million+ search results. Check out where "Nazos.net"

is ranked. It's on the SECOND FRONT [ranked 15]!

Again, Nazos.net's high web presence was achieved by

proper web design and placement of relevant metatags

according to Google's publication guidelines.

Good luck!
